Sometimes, the worst thing that can happen is to get what we want. In this classic horror story set at the turn of the last century, a grizzled old sailor visits his former shipmate and his family. The old sailor leaves behind a mysterious monkey’s paw that is said to grant the bearer three wishes, but he warns strongly against its use. However, the family cannot resist making one humble wish: They have lost their beloved son and the mother will do anything to get him back. Indeed their wish comes true, but in a fatal way.
