Trouble comes in all forms for all children. For some children, the trouble may be as simple as a fear of the dark. For others, however, the trouble is far more extreme, especially for children who are sexually abused. “Trouble” is a very responsible, caring film about the grave problem of sexual abuse with children. Through the story of a young girl’s horrifying experience with her sexually abusive uncle, the film documents the symptoms of this often undetected occurrence, and encourages children to speak out and tell someone they trust. Aimed at preschool- and kindergarten-age children, “Trouble” is an essential tool toward the identification and prevention of this very serious problem facing our society today. A film by the National Film Board of Norway.
