Description
While attempting to catch a lizard on a class biology trip, David, along with two other boys, unintentionally breaks a limb off a cherry tree. The son of a poor, uneducated farming couple, he must stay after school to work off his debt. This angers and humiliates his father, who sets off with a pistol in hand to teach David’s teacher a lesson.
