Rhythmic bells, an orchestra and chorus perform the traditional version of “Jingle Bells” as we follow a group of horse-drawn sleighs through a moonlit 1890’s evening. When a snowmobile abruptly enters the scene, the orchestra gives abruptly enters the scene, the orchestra gives way to guitars and fiddles, and we follow a group of these “automated sleights” while country and western singers perform a bluegrass, down-home version of the song. Suddenly, a rocket roars overhead and the bluegrass guitars give way to synthesizer music with an unearthly, electronic chorus performing a third version while we head for the moon to enjoy an exciting ride in a lunar rover. Audiences of all ages will love this musical celebration of Christmas past, present and future.
