Hannah and the Dog Ghost is an adaptation of an old folktale about Hannah, who is a widow that lives with her young son in the East Texas wilderness more than a century ago. After an evil fiddle man kidnaps her son, Hannah receives a mysterious message that leads her on a haunting journey to find him. The journey takes her to the fiddler’s lair, where the spirit of Hannah’s deceased husband possesses the body of an old dog, and helps Hannah save her son. Produced by Ken Harrison, with a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Texas Commission on the Arts, and the Southwest Alternate Media Project.
