A Father Like That shows a 10-year-old boy who is given an assignment he can’t do — write an essay about his father, because has never met him. The teacher suggests that he write about the kind of father he would like to have. The result is a touching, sensitive look at the one-parent family from a young boy’s point of view. Adapted from the book by Charlotte Zolotow. Produced by Philip J. Marshall.
