Ty's Homemade Band tells the tale of a traveling minstrel, portrayed by singer/ guitarist Taj Majal, who meets a young boy named Ty and convinces him that he can form his own band and play homemade instruments. Ty and his friends practice with Taj and then put on a concert for the whole town, playing such traditional homemade instruments as the washboard and spoons.
